Stanborough: Feb 17th 2008
In the first quarter the game was even both teams playing well in the very bright sunshine. In the second quarter we defended well but struggled in mid court to get the ball to the shooters and we were down 11-24 at the break.
Paula made some tactical changes at half time and in the third quarter we held our own but were improving all the time.
So much so that with some fine mid-court attacking play and consistent shooting in the circle,
we won the final quarter 15-8.
But there was too much to do to turn the result around. Final score: 34-42.

Crosskeys 1 at Ipswich
East Region Result Feb 10th
We knew it was going to be a hard game against Ipswich Ladies who are currenty 2nd in the league table. We started very well and went 6 goals up in the first quarter. They came back at us and the game remained very close until the final quarter where we fought hard and managed to gain a point. The team spirit remains high and the team played well as a unit with Shona fitting in seamlessly as goal defence.
If we continue to play as well as this we should get some results against some of the lower placed league teams we still have to play.
The Squad: Rebecca, Shona, Kirsty, Danny, Ella, Claire G, Claire. Coach: Paula, Scorer: Karen.

East Region Result Feb 3rd
Crosskeys 1 played to realise some of their potential to defeat Belton by 11 goals. The whole team played well as a unit with good team spirit. Rebecca and Elaine at opposite ends of the court turned in much improved performances which had a lot to do with this excellent result. Rumour has it that the presence of the left-handed club mascot contributed to the team's success.
The Squad: Rebecca, Amy, Kirsty, Danny, Ella, Claire, Elaine and Emma. Coach: Paula. Scorer: Marion. Thanks to the supporters.

This is where all alterations, updates and additions to the website will be announced.
Website Address
The temporary address of the site is www.crosskeysnetball.net The usual address www.crosskeysnetball.co.uk will be restored when we are able to transfer the the name from the old site. There are a number of improvements to the site which can only be addressed when the the site is renamed.
State of the Art
There are pages which are functioning. Many of them are now complete. Some of the links (particularly the second row navigation tabs) don't take you anywhere (yet!) The structures have been put in place for ease of completion and to give you some idea of what the site will look like when it is fully functioning.

Juniors page is ready. All years are now open and I have put all info that has been given to me. Recent action photos and photos of coaches needed (not necessarily mutually exclusive!).

News Page »
I have designed this page for ease of putting up new material. It is the page which will change week/week or month/month . It is essentially an announcement page for members to be informed of what the news is for the Club, and the first port of call for club notices displayed on the Club Notice Board.
From time to time the news page will be archived so that past news items may be still be accessed.
A Website Notice board will announce updates etc for the website and should become redundant eventually.
Gallery »
Potentially the biggest page. Have designed photo albums which are named but for which need more photos. None are open yet. On the back burner, and introduced over time.
I have also designed an online scrapbook for news clippings and articles. This page of albums and scrapbook is not urgent, will take time to build but should provide interest as it develops. After the Jack Petchey album the next is 2007-8. Photos please!
